Starting His Career
Hirokazu Goshi began his football adventure after finishing high school. In 1985, he joined a football club named Hitachi. This club was part of the Japan Soccer League. Over time, the Hitachi club became very well-known as Kashiwa Reysol.
Playing as a Goalkeeper
Goshi played as a goalkeeper for his club for a long time. He stayed with the team for 11 seasons, from 1985 until 1995. During these years, he saw many changes in Japanese football.
Moving to New Leagues
In 1992, the Japan Soccer League, where his club played, was replaced by a new league called the Japan Football League. His team joined this new league. Then, in 1994, Kashiwa Reysol had a great season. They finished in second place, which earned them a promotion. This meant they moved up to the top professional league in Japan, the J1 League.
Retirement from Football
