Hiromi Ikeda (池田 浩美, Ikeda Hiromi, born December 22, 1975) (her former name was Hiromi Isozaki, 磯﨑 浩美) is a former Japanese football player. She played as a defender for the Japan national team.

Hiromi Ikeda's Club Career
Hiromi Ikeda was born in Honjo, Japan, on December 22, 1975. She started her professional football journey in 1995. She joined a team called Tasaki Perule FC.
Early Success and Awards
In her first year, 1995, Hiromi was recognized for her talent. She won the Best Young Player award in the L.League. This showed everyone how skilled she was, even at a young age.
A Decade of Excellence
Hiromi was so good that she was chosen as one of the "Best Eleven" players for ten years in a row. This amazing streak lasted from 1999 to 2008. It means she was consistently one of the top players in the league.
Retirement from Club Football
Sadly, her club, Tasaki Perule FC, faced financial problems. Because of this, the team had to close down in 2008. Hiromi decided to retire from playing football at the end of that same year. She played a total of 236 matches in the L.League during her career.

Hiromi Ikeda also played for her country, Japan. She joined the Japan national team and made her first appearance on June 8, 1997. Her first game was against the China national team.

During the 2004 Summer Olympics, Hiromi took on a special role. She became the team captain because the usual captain, Yumi Obe, was not playing. After those Olympics, Hiromi officially became the captain of the Japan national team. She led her team until the 2008 Summer Olympics.

In 2007, Hiromi got married. When she got married, she changed her last name. Her original name was Hiromi Isozaki (磯﨑 浩美). After her marriage, she became known as Hiromi Ikeda (池田 浩美).
