Club Career Highlights
Hiromi Kojima was born in Nogata, Japan. After finishing high school, he started his professional football journey. In 1996, he joined Gamba Osaka, a well-known club. From 1997, he became a regular player, often playing as a forward. During this time, many other young talents like Tsuneyasu Miyamoto and Junichi Inamoto were also playing for the club.
Moving to New Teams
By 2001, Kojima's playing time at Gamba Osaka started to decrease. So, in 2002, he moved to Consadole Sapporo. Later that same year, he played for Omiya Ardija. In 2003, he joined Oita Trinita. He then played for Vissel Kobe from 2003 to 2005. At Vissel Kobe, he changed his main position to a defensive midfielder in 2004.
Later Career and Retirement
In 2006, Kojima moved to FC Gifu, a club in the Japanese Regional Leagues. He continued to play for FC Gifu until the end of the 2008 season. After that, he decided to retire from professional football.
National Team Experience
Hiromi Kojima also had a chance to represent his country. On April 26, 2000, he played his first game for the Japan national team. This match was against South Korea. It was his only appearance for the national team.
