History of Hogansville
The city of Hogansville got its name from William Hogan. He was the original owner of the land where the town was built.
Geography and Location
Hogansville is easy to reach by road. Major highways like Interstate 85 and U.S. Route 29 pass through or near the city. Other important roads include Georgia State Route 54 and Georgia State Route 100.
The city covers a total area of about 7.40 square miles (19.16 square kilometers). Most of this area is land, with a very small part being water.
