The community is east of U.S. Routes 19 and 98. Another community called Homosassa is to the west of these highways. The famous Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park is also west of the highway.
Homosassa Springs shares borders with other places. To the northwest, it's next to the city of Crystal River. To the east, you'll find Lecanto, and to the south is Sugarmill Woods.
The total area of Homosassa Springs is about 25.18 square miles (65.1 square kilometers). Only a tiny part of this area, about 0.01 square mile (0.04 square kilometers), is covered by water.
