Hornbrook is a small community in Siskiyou County, California, United States. It is called a census-designated place (CDP) because it's a special area defined for gathering population data.
In 2020, about 266 people lived in Hornbrook. This was a small increase from 248 people in 2010. The community got its name from the Southern Pacific Railroad in 1886. It was named after a small stream that flowed through the land owned by a person named David Horn.

- John Samuel Dunaway - He was a U.S. Fighter Pilot Ace during World War II. He received the Distinguished Flying Cross award. He was born in Hornbrook, California, in 1922. He went missing in action in 1944.
