Hossein Panahi Dezhkooh (Persian: حسین پناهی دژکوه; born August 28, 1956 – died August 4, 2004) was a talented Iranian actor and poet. He was known for his unique style in acting and writing.
After finishing high school, Hossein briefly studied religion in his hometown. However, he soon moved to Tehran to pursue his dream of working in art. He spent four years studying at the Anahita art school. There, he learned to be an actor and a screenwriter.
Hossein began his acting career in a TV show called Mahalleh Behdaasht (Hygiene Neighborhood). He also wrote and acted in some of his own TV shows. While these early shows weren't very popular, he later became famous for a show called Two Ducks in Fog. He wrote, directed, and acted in this show. It was a big success, and people loved his work.
Hossein Panahi passed away at the age of 47 due to a heart attack. He was buried in the city of Soogh, next to his mother.
