Different Kinds of Hot Tamales
Over the years, Just Born has made different versions of Hot Tamales. These variations offer different levels of spice or new flavors.
Spicy Variations
In 2011, a new candy called Hot Tamales 3 ALARM was released. This mix included three different candies: orange (hot), pinkish (hotter), and dark red (hottest). Around the same time, Hot Tamales Fire also came out. This version was even hotter than the original and had a darker color. It was first called Super Hot Hot Tamales.
Tropical and Minty Flavors
In 2014, Hot Tamales Tropical Heat was introduced. This candy mixed the original spicy flavor with fruit flavors like lemon, mango, and pineapple. For a while, there was also a spearmint version called Hot Tamales Ice. This minty candy was stopped, but it came back in 2018. It was then sold with the regular Hot Tamales as "Hot Tamales Fire & Ice."
