Huallanca, also known as Burro, is a very tall mountain in the Andes mountains of Peru. It stands at 5,470 meters (about 17,946 feet) high. This makes it the highest peak in the Huallanca mountain range.

Huallanca is a huge mountain in Peru. Its name might come from the Quechua language word for "mountain range." It could also be named after a type of cactus plant. People also call it Burro, which means "donkey" in Spanish.
Where is Huallanca Located?
Huallanca is found in the Ancash Region of Peru. Specifically, it's in the Bolognesi Province, across the Aquia and Huallanca districts. This mighty mountain is in the northern part of its range. It sits southeast of the Yanashallash pass. Other peaks like Tankan, Ch'uspi, and Tankanqucha are nearby. The mountain Kuntur Wayi is to its southwest. Another peak, Winchus, is west of Huallanca, near the Tuna Kancha valley.
