The Huellelhue River is a river located in the San Juan de la Costa area in southern Chile. This river flows from the east towards the west. It eventually empties into the vast Pacific Ocean. The river's mouth is found about 10 kilometers (about 6 miles) south of a place called Maicolpue.

The Huellelhue River's Journey

The Huellelhue River starts its journey in the Chilean Coast Range, a mountain range that runs along the Pacific coast of Chile. From these hills, the river begins its westward flow, making its way through the landscape of the Los Lagos Region.

Where is Huellelhue?

The Huellelhue River is entirely within the country of Chile, a long, narrow country in South America. It is located in the southern part of Chile, specifically in the Los Lagos Region. This region is known for its beautiful lakes, rivers, and green landscapes. The river flows through the San Juan de la Costa commune, which is a local administrative area.

Flowing to the Pacific

As the Huellelhue River travels, it collects water from its surroundings. Its path leads it directly to the Pacific Ocean, one of the world's largest oceans. The point where the river meets the ocean is called its mouth. For the Huellelhue, this meeting point is at sea level, meaning it's exactly where the land ends and the ocean begins. This journey from the mountains to the sea is a common path for many rivers around the world.
