Los Lagos Region facts for kids
The Los Lagos Region (which means "Region of the Lakes" in Spanish) is a beautiful area in Chile. It is one of Chile's fifteen main regions. This region is known for its many lakes and stunning nature.
The Los Lagos Region has four smaller areas called provinces. Each province has its own main city. The biggest city and capital of the entire Los Lagos Region is Puerto Montt. Other important towns include Puerto Varas, Ancud, and Frutillar.

- Osorno Province: Its capital city is Osorno. This area is known for its farming and volcanoes.
- Palena Province: Its capital city is Chaitén. This province is famous for its wild and natural landscapes.
