The Huenchullamí River is a river found in the coastal area of the Maule Region in Chile. It begins its journey in the west of Pencahue. As it flows, it changes names a few times.
First, it is known as the Libún, then the Batuco, and later the Coipué. After it meets the waters from the Gualleco creek, it finally becomes known as the Huenchullamí River. This river eventually reaches the Pacific Ocean at La Trinchera beach. This spot is about 10 to 12 kilometers (around 6 to 7.5 miles) south of where the Mataquito River meets the ocean.
Where the River Flows
The Huenchullamí River plays a role in marking the boundaries between different areas. It acts as a natural divider between the communes of Curepto and Constitución. This means the river forms a natural border between these two important local areas in Chile.
