The Hyatt Regency Vancouver is a large hotel located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. You can find it at 655 Burrard Street. This hotel has 644 rooms and is connected to the Royal Centre complex. It is currently the 27th tallest building in Downtown Vancouver.

1998 Demonstration at the Hyatt

In 1998, a big event happened at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver. People put up posters inviting others to a "Riot at the Hyatt." This was a way to gather people for a demonstration.

Crowds gathered around the hotel because Prime Minister Jean Chrétien was speaking there. The Vancouver police were present to manage the large group of demonstrators. The police later investigated what happened and released a report about the event.
