Hyattville is a ghost town located in Anderson County, Kansas, in the United States. A ghost town is a place where people used to live and work, but now very few or no one lives there. Often, the buildings are empty or gone.

A Look at Hyattville's Past

Hyattville, which was once just called Hyatt, had a post office for about ten years. It operated from 1857 until 1867. A post office was a very important part of a town back then. It helped people send and receive letters and packages.

In 1857, something interesting happened in Hyatt. A group of soldiers, called cavalry, was sent to the town. Their job was to help keep things peaceful and fair during the local election. This shows that even small towns like Hyatt were important places for people to vote and make decisions. After 1867, the town slowly faded away, becoming the ghost town it is today.
