Hällevik is a small town, also called a locality, located in Sölvesborg Municipality in Blekinge County, Sweden. In 2010, about 813 people lived there.
A Sad Day in 1862
On October 17, 1862, a sad event happened in Hällevik. Seven fishermen from the village were out fishing for herring when they tragically drowned. This included a father and his son. Their names are recorded in the old church records of Mjällby. These names are Masse Jönsson, Jöns Håkansson, Bengt Håkansson, Hans Jönsson, Sven Pehrsson, Ola Christoffersson, and Sven Christoffersson.
