The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are super cool smartphones made by Apple. They came out on September 12, 2023. These new phones are even better than the iPhone 14 Pro models that came before them. They were announced at the same time as the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.

History
Before these phones were announced, some people thought the bigger iPhone 15 Pro Max might be called the 'iPhone 15 Ultra.' This was because Apple had already made an Apple Watch Ultra. But on September 8, 2023, Apple said they would keep the 'Pro Max' name for the larger phone.

Hardware Features
The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max are the first iPhones to use a USB-C port. This is a new type of charging and data cable. The European Commission (a group in Europe) made a rule that most new devices, including iPhones, must use USB-C. This rule helps make charging easier for everyone.
These new iPhones also have a strong frame made of titanium. This makes them very durable. They also have thinner borders around the screen, so you get more display area.

Fast Charging and Data Transfer
The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max use USB-C with USB 3.1 speeds. This means they can transfer data super fast, up to 10 gigabits per second! This is much faster than older iPhones, which used USB 2.0 and were slower.
Connecting to Screens
All iPhone 15 models can connect to external screens like TVs or monitors. They use something called DisplayPort Alternate Mode over USB-C. This lets them show high-quality video, even in 4K resolution. Older iPhones could only show video at a lower quality.
The Action Button
The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max have a new "Action button." This button replaces the old mute switch. You can set the Action button to do different things, like quickly opening the camera or turning on the flashlight. It's a customizable shortcut!
Software
