Iddo Goldberg (born August 5, 1975) is a British actor. He is well-known for playing Freddie Thorne in the TV show Peaky Blinders. He also played Isaac Walton in Salem and Bennett Knox in Snowpiercer.
Early life
Iddo Goldberg was born in Haifa, Israel. His family has Jewish roots. When he was 10 years old, he moved to London, England, with his family.
His father came from Riga, Latvia. He moved to Northern Rhodesia (which is now Zambia) in the 1930s. Goldberg's mother's family lives in Jerusalem, Israel. His parents met when his father was visiting Israel. They raised him in Israel before he went to secondary school in North London. He also has family in Haifa, Israel.
Career
Iddo Goldberg has had many important acting roles. He played Brandon in the TV show Attachments. He also appeared as 15Peter20 in the comedy show Nathan Barley.
In 2008, he was in the war movie Defiance. In 2013, Goldberg starred as Freddie Thorne in the first season of the crime drama Peaky Blinders. He also acted in the 2012 film And While We Were Here.
Besides acting, Goldberg enjoys photography and making short films. He shares his photos on a Tumblr account. He directed a short film called Supper in 2012. He also made music videos for James Rousseau. In 2010, he made a film about his grandmother called Luba.
In 2015, he appeared in the music video for the song "Magnets" by Disclosure, which also featured the singer Lorde.
From 2014 to 2017, he starred in the show Salem with his wife, Ashley Madekwe. In 2015, he played the villain T. O. Morrow and his android Red Tornado in the TV series Supergirl.
Personal life
Iddo Goldberg married English actress Ashley Madekwe in June 2012. In April 2023, Ashley Madekwe shared that they were going to have their first child.
