Ashley Madekwe (born December 6, 1983) is a British actress famous for her roles in popular TV shows and movies. She is well-known for playing Ashley Davenport in the drama series Revenge and the powerful character Tituba in the series Salem.
She also appeared as Bambi in the show Secret Diary of a ... (2008–2010). For her amazing performance in the movie County Lines (2019), Madekwe was nominated for a BAFTA Award, which is one of the highest honors in British film and television.

Early Life and Education
Ashley Madekwe was born in East London, England. Her father is Nigerian and her mother is English. She grew up in South London and later moved to the suburbs.
When she was 14, she started attending the BRIT School, a famous school for performing arts. After that, she trained at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London to become a professional actress. Her cousin, Archie Madekwe, is also an actor.
Acting Career
Starting Out
Madekwe began her acting career in a TV film called Storm Damage. After graduating from RADA, she performed in a play called Prayer Room at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre. Soon after, she appeared in several popular British TV shows like Teachers, Doctors, and Casualty.
Her first big movie role was in the 2007 Woody Allen film Cassandra's Dream, where she acted alongside famous stars Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. This led to more roles, including the part of Bambi in the drama series Secret Diary of a ....
Success in the United States
In 2011, Madekwe became known to American audiences when she was cast as Ashley Davenport in the hit ABC drama series Revenge. She was a main character for the first two seasons of the show.
From 2014 to 2017, she starred as the magical character Tituba in the historical fantasy series Salem. She has also appeared in other popular shows like The Umbrella Academy and Tell Me A Story.
