Igam Ogam is a fun Welsh animated TV show. It uses a special technique called stop motion. This means that characters are moved tiny bits at a time and photographed. When you play the photos fast, it looks like they are moving! The show was created by Andrew Offiler.

What is Igam Ogam About?
The series takes place on a very unique, "higgledy-piggledy" prehistoric planet. It follows the adventures of a playful and sometimes mischievous cave girl named Igam Ogam. She explores her world with her amazing friends.
Meet the Characters
Get to know the cool characters who live on Igam Ogam's planet:
- Igam Ogam - She is the main character. Igam Ogam is a lively prehistoric girl who loves to have fun. Sian Bradbury and Ruby Llewelyn gave her voice.
- Triple Tog – This character is a flat, sabre-toothed tiger. He acts like Igam Ogam's comfy blanket. Triple Tog is often grumpy but also very sensible. Bernard Latham is his voice.
- Doggie – Doggie is Igam Ogam’s pet dinosaur. He is a bit like a dog and loves to play hide-and-seek. Bernard Latham also voices Doggie.
- Big Daddy – A huge T-Rex! He is the grown-up who looks after Igam Ogam. Tony Leader is the voice of Big Daddy.
- Roly – Roly is Igam Ogam’s best friend. He is a monkey or ape who really loves bananas. Roly moves around by rolling forward! Ali Curries and Hallie Green voiced Roly.
- Birdie – Birdie is Igam Ogam’s other friend. She is a wise pterodactyl lady. Ruth Jones is the voice of Birdie.
- Narrator - A friendly voice tells the story and sometimes talks directly to the characters. Ruth Jones is also the Narrator.
- Wriggle Wiggle – A fluffy worm with a funny and playful personality.
- Finian – Finian is a fish who wants to be friends with Igam Ogam. He can even move around outside of water! Finian joined the show in season 2. Sean Clancy voices Finian.

The show has 52 episodes in total, split into two seasons. Each episode is about 11 minutes long.
Season 1 (2006-2009)
The first season of Igam Ogam aired from 2006 to 2009. It had 26 exciting episodes.
Season 2 (2009-2013)
The second season of Igam Ogam continued the adventures from 2009 to 2013. It also had 26 episodes.
How the Show Was Made
The first season of Igam Ogam was made by a Welsh animation company called Calon in 2009. Later, the company became part of Telegael, an Irish production company. Telegael then produced the second season in 2013. Most of the people who created the show and voiced the characters stayed the same. However, the voices for Igam Ogam and Roly, who are children, were changed for the second season.
Where to Watch Igam Ogam
TV Broadcasts
In the UK, the first season of Igam Ogam was shown on Channel 5 as part of their kids' block, Milkshake!, from March to May 2010. The second season also aired on Channel 5 from 2006 until December 2013.
The show was also broadcast in other countries! You could watch it on Knowledge Kids and BBC Kids in Canada, KiKa in Germany, ČT :D in the Czech Republic, ABC Kids in Australia, and NPO Zappelin in the Netherlands.
DVDs and Online
Some episodes from the first season were released on DVD. You could find them in both Welsh and English versions. Later, in 2014, the first 13 episodes of season one were officially released on DVD in the United Kingdom. You can also watch Season 1 on Amazon Instant Video in the UK.
Books and Live Shows
Calon, the production company, also released two picture books based on episodes: Where's My Doggie? and I'm Not Igam Ogam.
There was even a live dance and acrobatics stage show called The Igam Ogam Show! It toured several cities in Wales during the summer of 2013. The show was created by Carole Blade.
