Igor Bubnjić, born on July 17, 1992, is a former professional football player from Croatia. He played as a centre-back, which is a defensive position in football. He retired from playing at the age of 27 due to injuries.

Igor Bubnjić's Club Career
Early Football Days
Igor Bubnjić started playing football at a young age. He began his youth career at a club called Daruvar. Later, in 2007, he joined the youth team of Slaven Belupo. This was an important step in his journey to becoming a professional player.
First Team Appearances
In the 2011–12 season, Igor was loaned to Koprivnica. This team played in a lower division. He played in 13 games for them and scored two goals. After this loan, he returned to Slaven Belupo.
He made his first appearance for Slaven Belupo's main team on March 16, 2012. He came into the game as a substitute in a match they won against Osijek. Later that season, on May 6, 2012, he scored his first goal in the top Croatian league. This goal came in a 1–1 draw against Rijeka.
Moving to Italy
In September 2012, Igor Bubnjić signed a five-year contract with Udinese. Udinese is a well-known football club in Italy. However, he stayed with Slaven Belupo until the end of that season before moving to Italy. He played 13 games for Udinese.
Loan Spells and Retirement
During his time with Udinese, Igor was loaned to other clubs to gain more playing experience.
- From 2015 to 2016, he played for Carpi on loan. He appeared in 9 games for them.
- From 2016 to 2017, he was loaned to Brescia, where he played 8 matches.
- In 2018, he had a short loan spell at Inter Zaprešić in Croatia.
In October 2018, Igor moved to Malta and joined Hibernians. He played two games for this club. In the summer of 2019, he left Hibernians. On October 7, 2019, Igor Bubnjić announced his retirement from football. He was only 27 years old. He decided to retire because of serious injuries he had been dealing with for three years.
