Imusdale was an old settlement in Monterey County, California. It was located about 5 miles (8 kilometers) west-northwest of a town called Parkfield.

Imusdale was a small community that no longer exists today. It was once a busy spot in California, especially because it had a post office.
The Post Office at Imusdale
A post office was open in Imusdale for many years. It started in 1875 and closed in 1902. For a short time, in 1899, the post office even moved to a different spot within the settlement.
How Imusdale Got Its Name
The name Imusdale was given to honor three brothers: Charles, Edwin, and William Imus. These brothers were among the first people from European backgrounds to settle in the Cholame Valley area. They helped start the community that became known as Imusdale.
