People become insurgents when they feel their government isn't listening to them or isn't treating them fairly. They might want more freedom, better living conditions, or a different kind of government. Their main goal is usually to make big changes in their country. They might want to overthrow the current government, gain independence for a region, or force the government to make specific changes.
How Do Insurgents Operate?
Insurgents often use tactics like guerrilla warfare. This means small groups of fighters surprise larger government forces. They might also try to gain support from the local population, sometimes by promising to improve their lives. Insurgents might also try to damage important things like roads or communication systems to weaken the government's control.
