Iqra Aziz Hussain (born November 24, 1997) is a popular Pakistani actress who appears in Urdu television shows. She is known for playing a wide variety of characters, from funny and friendly girls to more serious roles. For her talented acting, she has won many awards, including three Lux Style Awards and four Hum Awards.
Iqra started her acting career in 2014. She became very well-known for her roles in the social drama Ranjha Ranjha Kardi (2018) and the comedy series Suno Chanda (2018). Her performance in Suno Chanda was a huge hit and won her several awards. She also starred in other popular shows like Choti Si Zindagi (2016) and Khuda Aur Muhabbat 3 (2021).
After taking a short break, some of her more recent shows like Mannat Murad (2023) and Burns Road Kay Romeo Juliet (2024) were not as successful as her earlier work. Besides acting, Iqra is also a brand ambassador for several companies. She is married to actor and writer Yasir Hussain, and they have a son together.

Early Life
Iqra Aziz was born on November 24, 1997, in Karachi, Pakistan. In interviews, she has talked about how her mother worked hard as a single parent to raise her and her sister. Iqra was still in college when she started working. She eventually decided to leave her studies to focus on her acting career. In 2018, she mentioned that she planned to go back to school in the future.
Career
Starting Out (2014–2017)
Iqra began her career at the age of 14. With help from her older sister, she started auditioning for television commercials and was chosen by a talent agency. She first appeared on screen in the TV series Kissey Apna Kahein, where she acted alongside many experienced actors.
Her big break came in 2015 with the drama series Muqaddas. Her performance in the show was a success and earned her a Hum Award for Best Television Sensation. That same year, she also had an important role in the show Mol.
In 2016, she starred in several shows, including Deewana, where she played a girl who becomes friends with a friendly genie. Her acting alongside Shehzad Sheikh in Choti Si Zindagi was very popular with audiences, and they were nominated for Best Onscreen Couple.
In 2017, she played a character who causes trouble for others in the hit drama Khamoshi. Her performance was so convincing that one reviewer wrote that viewers couldn't help but dislike her character. She also appeared in Ghairat, a series about the serious social issue of honor killings.
Becoming a Star (2018–Present)
In 2018, Iqra starred in Qurban as Heer, a cheerful girl from a wealthy family. Her most famous role came that year during Ramadan in the special series Suno Chanda. She played Ajiya Nazakat, also known as Jiya, opposite actor Farhan Saeed. Their on-screen chemistry was loved by fans, and the show became a massive hit. This role won her several major awards.
She also received praise for her role as Noori in Ranjha Ranjha Kardi. Noori was a strong and fiery character from a poor background. A writer for The News International newspaper said that Iqra "has spark" because of her powerful performances. In 2019, she returned as Jiya in Suno Chanda 2, the sequel to the popular show.
In 2021, Iqra starred in two major dramas. The first was Raqeeb Se, where she played a character named Ameera. The show was well-liked by critics. The second was Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3, a highly-watched romance drama where she starred opposite Feroze Khan. While it was very popular on YouTube, some critics found the story to be problematic.
After a short break, Iqra returned to television in 2023 with the family comedy Mannat Murad. In 2024, she starred in the romantic comedy Burns Road Kay Romeo Juliet. In 2025, she appeared in the romantic comedy series Paradise.
Personal Life
On July 7, 2019, Iqra got engaged to actor and writer Yasir Hussain at the 18th Lux Style Awards. They were married on December 28, 2019. In July 2021, they welcomed their son into the world.
