Iqra Aziz Hussain (born November 24, 1997) is a talented Pakistani actress. She is famous for playing different kinds of characters on TV, from funny, friendly girls to more serious roles. Iqra has won many awards for her acting, including three Lux Style Awards and four Hum Awards.
She started her acting journey in 2014 with a show called Kissey Apna Kahein. Her first main role was in the 2015 drama Muqaddas. Since then, she has appeared in many popular shows. Some of these include Choti Si Zindagi (2016), Qurban (2018), Raqeeb Se, and Khuda Aur Muhabbat 3 (both from 2021).
Iqra became very well-known for her role in the 2018 drama Ranjha Ranjha Kardi. This role helped her win the Lux Style Award for Best Actress. She is also loved for her funny character, Ajiya Nazakat, in Suno Chanda (2018). For Suno Chanda, she won the Hum Award for Best Actress Popular and another Lux Style Award for Best TV Actress.
After a short break, she returned to TV in 2023 with the family drama Mannat Murad. Iqra is married to actor and writer Yasir Hussain, and they have a son together.

Early Life and Education
Iqra Aziz was born on November 24, 1997, in Karachi, Pakistan. She has often shared how her mother worked hard to raise her as a single parent.
Iqra managed to finish college while also working. However, she later decided to focus completely on her acting career. In 2018, she mentioned that she planned to go back to her studies in the future.
Iqra's Acting Journey
Starting Out (2014–2017)
Iqra began her career in acting when she was just 14 years old. Her older sister helped her get into the field. She first auditioned for TV commercials and was chosen by a talent agency. Even today, Iqra still appears in many TV advertisements.
Later, Hum TV's co-producer Momina Duraid noticed her talent. Momina offered Iqra a role in her TV series Kissey Apna Kahein. In this show, Iqra acted alongside well-known actors like Arij Fatyma and Danish Taimoor.
Her next big step was a main role in another Hum TV drama, Muqaddas. This show was based on a novel. Muqaddas was a turning point for Iqra, and she won a Hum Award for Best Television Sensation Female. In the same year, she also played a key role in Mol.
In 2016, Iqra starred in Socha Na Tha and Deewana. In Deewana, she played a girl named Mehar Sultana who becomes friends with a Jinn (a magical spirit). She also had supporting roles in Kisay Chahoon and Laaj. Her acting with Shehzad Sheikh in Choti Si Zindagi was very popular. They were even nominated for Best Onscreen Couple.
Iqra then appeared in Gustakh Ishq and made a special appearance in Dil-e-Jaanam in 2017. She also acted in Ghairat and the romantic drama Khamoshi. In Khamoshi, Iqra played Naeema, a character who was a bit arrogant and focused on her career. People really liked her performance as this challenging character.
Becoming a Star with Suno Chanda (2018–Present)
In 2018, Iqra worked with Shehzad Sheikh again in Qurban. She played Heer, a lively girl from a rich family. Later that year, she played Ajiya Nazakat (Jiya) in Suno Chanda, a special series shown during Ramadan. She acted opposite Farhan Saeed, and their on-screen chemistry was highly praised. Suno Chanda became a huge hit, and Iqra won a nomination for Best Television Actress at the Lux Style Awards. She also played Tabeer in the Hum TV series Tabeer.
Iqra then starred in Ranjha Ranjha Kardi. Her role as Noori, a girl from a disadvantaged background, was highly praised by critics. In 2019, she returned for Suno Chanda 2, a sequel to the popular first season.
In 2021, Iqra played Ameera in the drama Raqeeb Se. This show had a strong cast and received great reviews. It also earned her a nomination for Best Actress at the Lux Style Awards. Later that year, she starred in the much-anticipated romantic drama Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3 with Feroze Khan. This show became very popular and was one of the most-watched Pakistani TV series on YouTube.
After a short break, Iqra made her comeback with the family comedy drama Mannat Murad in 2023. In 2024, she starred in the romantic comedy drama Burns Road Kay Romeo Juliet.
Personal Life
On July 7, 2019, at the 18th Lux Style Awards, Iqra Aziz got engaged to actor and writer Yasir Hussain. They got married on December 28, 2019. In July 2021, Iqra and Yasir welcomed their son.
