Isbister Holm: A Nearby Islet
Just about 2 kilometers (a little over a mile) off the coast of Isbister, there's a small island called Isbister Holm. An "islet" is just a very small island. This little island has a bit of history connected to it.
On November 12, 1778, a ship named the Jufron Ingester was unfortunately wrecked near Isbister Holm. This means the ship was badly damaged or destroyed, often by hitting rocks or bad weather. Shipwrecks are an interesting part of maritime history.
