Ismael Gómez Falcón (born on April 24, 1984) is a former Spanish professional footballer. He played as a goalkeeper, protecting his team's goal.
Ismael Falcón had a long career in Spanish football. He played in 232 games in the Segunda División, which is Spain's second-highest football league. He played for several teams in this league, including Hércules, Celta, Alcorcón, Córdoba, and Tenerife. He also played five matches in La Liga, Spain's top league, for Atlético Madrid.

Ismael Falcón's Football Journey
Starting His Career in Spain
Ismael Falcón was born in Cádiz, a city in Andalusia, Spain. He started his football journey at Cádiz CF, a local club. When he was 20 years old, he joined Atlético Madrid, a big club in Spain. This move helped him continue to develop his skills as a goalkeeper.
At Atlético Madrid, he competed to be the second-choice goalkeeper. He played in five matches in La Liga during the 2005–06 season. His first top-league game was on December 3, 2005, against Athletic Bilbao. He came into the game when the main goalkeeper, Leo Franco, got injured. While at Atlético Madrid, he also played for their reserve team, Atlético Madrid B.
Playing for Many Teams
After his time at Atlético Madrid, Ismael Falcón went on loan to Hércules CF in the Segunda División. After his loan, he left Atlético Madrid in July 2008. He then joined another team in the same league, RC Celta de Vigo.
Falcón continued to play in the Segunda División for many years. He played for Hércules again, and then for AD Alcorcón, Córdoba CF, and CD Tenerife. He was a very experienced player in this league.
From Player to Coach
In June 2021, Falcón signed a one-year contract with Atlético Sanluqueño CF. A year later, in 2022, he moved to San Fernando CD. He played a few games there before deciding to retire from playing football at 38 years old.
After retiring as a player, Ismael Falcón didn't leave football. He became the goalkeepers' coach for San Fernando CD. This meant he started teaching and training other goalkeepers.
