Ismael Gómez Falcón (born on April 24, 1984) is a Spanish former professional footballer. He played as a goalkeeper, which means his job was to stop the other team from scoring goals.
He played in 232 games in the Segunda División, which is Spain's second-highest football league. He played for teams like Hércules, Celta, Alcorcón, Córdoba, and Tenerife. He also played five matches in La Liga, Spain's top league, for Atlético Madrid.

Ismael Falcón's Football Journey
Falcón was born in Cádiz, a city in Andalusia, Spain. He started his football journey at Cádiz CF. When he was 20, he joined Atlético Madrid to continue developing his skills.
Playing for Atlético Madrid
At Atlético Madrid, Falcón competed to be the team's second-choice goalkeeper. He played in five matches in La Liga during the 2005–06 season. His first game was a 1–1 draw against Athletic Bilbao in December 2005. He came into the game when the main goalkeeper, Leo Franco, got injured. While at Atlético Madrid, he also played for their reserve team, Atlético Madrid B.
Moving to Other Clubs
After a short time on loan at Hércules CF in the Segunda División, Falcón left Atlético Madrid in July 2008. He then joined another team in the same league, RC Celta de Vigo. He continued to play in the Segunda División for many years. He played for Hércules again, and also for AD Alcorcón, Córdoba CF, and CD Tenerife.
Later Career and Retirement
In June 2021, Falcón signed a one-year contract with Atlético Sanluqueño CF. A year later, he moved to San Fernando CD, which is in the Primera Federación league. He retired from playing football shortly after, at the age of 38. After retiring, he became the goalkeepers' coach for San Fernando CD, helping new goalkeepers learn and improve their skills.
Throughout his career, Ismael Falcón played a total of 438 league games as a goalkeeper.
