The Story of Itera
How Itera Started
Itera began in 1995 in Norway. It was first known as Objectware. In 1999, the company Itera itself was created and started working in Norway. Later that year, Itera was listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange. This means its shares could be bought and sold there. In 2000, Itera and Objectware joined together.
Itera Consulting's Growth
Itera Consulting was formed in 2000. That same year, Itera expanded into Sweden. They did this by buying a company called IT Partner. They also entered Denmark by buying a web company named 3Enigheten.
In 2008, Itera Consulting started working in Ukraine. Ukraine became an important place for them to work with teams from other countries. This is called "nearshoring." It means they set up development centers close by. The first office opened in Kyiv, the capital city. It was started by a team with lots of experience in working with teams far away. Igor Mendzebrovski leads Itera Consulting's work in Ukraine. He was one of the people who started a big company that worked with teams in other countries in Eastern Europe. In early 2011, a second office opened in Lviv, Ukraine.
In 2008, the name Objectware was changed to Itera Consulting.
