Hašek also played for teams in other countries. These included RC Strasbourg in France, and Sanfrecce Hiroshima and JEF United Ichihara in Japan. With the French club, Strasbourg, he played for two seasons in top leagues like Ligue 1 and Ligue 2. Towards the end of his playing career, he went back to Sparta Prague. There, he helped them win the 1996–97 league title.

Coaching Football

Starting as a Coach

He also managed teams like Vissel Kobe in Japan, Al Wasl FC in the UAE, and AS Saint-Étienne in France. In December 2007, he became the coach of Al-Ahli, a club based in Dubai.

In June 2009, Hašek became the president of the Czech Football Association. This is like being the head of football in the Czech Republic. On July 7, he also took on the job of head coach for the national team. He coached them until the end of the 2010 World Cup qualification games. Hašek decided to leave his coaching role for the national team on October 14, 2009. He also resigned as the FA president on June 26, 2011, to return to Al-Ahli in Dubai.

In July 2014, Hašek took over as the new coach of Qatar SC. This was before the 2014–15 season started.

Coaching Lebanon and Returning to Czech Republic

On July 15, 2021, Hašek was chosen as the head coach for the Lebanon national team. He signed a one-year contract. His team finished last in their group. This meant they did not qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. After this, Hašek chose not to continue his contract with Lebanon.
