Iveta Bartošová (born April 8, 1966 – died April 29, 2014) was a famous Czech singer and actress. She was chosen as the best female vocalist three times in the music poll Zlatý slavík (in 1986, 1990, and 1991). She was a very popular public figure in the Czech Republic.

Her Life and Music Career
Iveta Bartošová was born in Čeladná. She grew up in Frenštát pod Radhoštěm with her older brother Lumír and her twin sister Ivana.
She began her music journey in 1982 with a band called Dianthus. In 1983, she won a music competition in Jihlava. There, she met singer Petr Sepéši. They worked together and became a couple. Sadly, Petr Sepéši died in a car accident in 1985.
In the late 1980s, Iveta started working with important Czech pop music artists. These included František Janeček and Ladislav Štaidl, who was her partner for many years. In 1987, she released her first solo album, called I.B.. Her record company, Supraphon, gave her an award for this album.
In 1993, Iveta Bartošová acted in the comedy movie Svatba upírů. In 1996, she had a son named Artur. A year later, she performed in her first musical, Dracula. In the late 1990s, she released several successful albums. These included Ve jménu lásky and Bílý kámen.
After the year 2000, her popularity changed. In 2008, EMI released a collection of her greatest hits. It was a 3-CD set called Platinum Collection. In 2009, she won a TV poll in the TýTý Awards. From October 2012, she appeared in a reality show about her life. This show was broadcast on the TV channel Pětka.
Iveta Bartošová was married twice. From 2008 to 2009, she was married to actor and film producer Jiří Pomeje. Her second husband was Josef Rychtář, whom she married in 2013. She had one son, Artur, from her relationship with Ladislav Štaidl.

Iveta Bartošová passed away on April 29, 2014. She was 48 years old.
