The name Jūrokucha means "16 teas" in Japanese. This drink is a mix of sixteen different ingredients. These ingredients come from leaves, grains, and fruits.

Jūrokucha's Influence

Because Jūrokucha became so popular, other companies started making similar blended tea drinks.

  • Kyushu Railway Company created a drink called "Nijūyoncha." This means "twenty-four teas."
  • Sangaria has a drink named "Nijūitcha," which means "twenty-one teas."
  • Coca-Cola sells a drink called "Sōkenbicha." This drink combines 12 different teas.
  • A company in Korea also sells a blended drink made from 17 teas.
