Jack Fillmore Betts (born April 11, 1929 – died June 19, 2025) was an American actor. He was also known by the name Hunt Powers. Jack Betts acted in many movies, plays, and TV shows. He was well-known for his roles in "Spaghetti Western" films, like Sugar Colt (1966). He also appeared in the popular movie Spider-Man (2002).

Early Life and First Steps in Acting

Jack Betts was born on April 11, 1929, in Jersey City, New Jersey. When he was 10 years old, his family moved to Miami, Florida. He loved acting and studied theatre at the University of Miami.
Jack started his acting career in 1953 in a play called Richard III. Soon after, he began appearing on television. He played Chris Devlin in the TV mystery series Checkmate from 1960 to 1962. From 1963 to 1965, he was Dr. Ken Martin on the show General Hospital. He also had a role as an 80-year-old man named Mr. Fisher on One Life to Live in 1982.

Jack Betts appeared in many TV shows. He had four different roles on the CBS drama series Perry Mason. He played characters like Bert Nickols, Enos Watterton, George Parsons, and Bruce Strickland in various episodes.
One of his most famous movie roles was in Sam Raimi's 2002 film Spider-Man. In this movie, he played the character Henry Balkan. This role made him known to many more people. He also acted in several "Spaghetti Western" films, which are Western movies made in Italy.

Jack Betts continued acting for many years. He even wrote a play called Screen Test: Take One. It was about a soap opera that started on a film set.
