Jackson Center is a small village located in Shelby County, Ohio. In 2020, about 1,441 people lived there.

This village is well-known for being the home of Airstream travel trailers and motor homes. Airstream has been building their popular vehicles here since 1952. You can easily reach Jackson Center from Interstate 75 at Exit 102.

History of Jackson Center

Jackson Center was officially planned and marked out in 1835. A post office opened in the village in 1858. This helped the community grow and connect with other places.

Jackson Center is located in Ohio. The United States Census Bureau says the village covers about 1.69 square miles (4.38 square kilometers). Most of this area is land, with a very small amount of water.

The Jackson Center Local School District runs one large school building. This building serves students from kindergarten all the way through 12th grade. It includes the Jackson Center High School.

Jackson Center also has a public library. It is a branch of the Shelby County Libraries system.

Arts and Culture in Jackson Center

Jackson Center is home to the Elder Theatre. This is the last indoor movie theater in Shelby County. It has been showing movies since 1942.

In 2013, the Elder Theatre needed to update its equipment. They raised money to switch from old 35mm film to new digital projection. The community helped them reach their goal quickly!
