Bravery at Fredericksburg

On December 13, 1862, Jacob Cart was part of the Battle of Fredericksburg in Virginia. This was a very tough battle. For his amazing bravery during this fight, he was awarded the Medal of Honor. He received this special award on November 25, 1864.

Later Life and Legacy

Jacob Cart passed away on April 24, 1882. He was buried in Ashland Cemetery, which is also in Pennsylvania. His actions during the Civil War are remembered as a great example of courage.
