Jacqueline Obradors (born October 6, 1966) is an American actress. She has appeared in many movies and TV shows. You might know her voice as Audrey Rocio Ramirez in the Disney movie Atlantis: The Lost Empire. She also played Detective Rita Ortiz in the TV series NYPD Blue. Some of her other films include Six Days, Seven Nights (1998) and Tortilla Soup (2001).
Early Life
Jacqueline Obradors was born in the San Fernando Valley, California. Her parents were immigrants from Argentina. Her mom, Angie, worked at a church. Her dad, Albert, owned a cleaning business. Before becoming an actress, Jacqueline worked as a cashier at a grocery store.
Acting Career
Jacqueline Obradors started her acting career in action films. These included Red Sun Rising (1994) and Soldier Boyz (1995). She also appeared in TV shows like Diagnosis: Murder and Murder, She Wrote. In 1995, she was in the TV movie Problem Child 3: Junior in Love.
In 1998, she co-starred in the popular adventure-comedy film Six Days, Seven Nights. She played Angelica in this movie. In 2000, she was a regular on the TV show Battery Park.
A big role for Obradors came in 2001. She played the main character, Carmen Naranjo, in the comedy-drama film Tortilla Soup. This movie was well-liked by critics. She also lent her voice to Audrey Ramirez in the Disney animated film Atlantis: The Lost Empire (2001). She returned to voice Audrey in the sequel, Atlantis: Milo's Return (2003).
From 2001 to 2005, Obradors had a regular role on TV. She played Detective Rita Ortiz in the ABC police drama series NYPD Blue. After that, she joined the sitcom Freddie in 2005. She played Sofia, the main character's sister.
After a short break, Obradors returned to acting in 2009. She appeared in the crime film Crossing Over with Harrison Ford. The next year, she had a recurring role as Paloma Reynosa in the CBS series NCIS. She also made guest appearances on shows like Grimm, Castle, and Lucifer.
More recently, Obradors has had recurring roles in other TV series. She was in Lopez (2016) and the crime drama Bosch (2019-2021). In 2023, she appeared in the mystery thriller The Watchful Eye. She also co-starred in the miniseries Daisy Jones & the Six in 2023.
