Jade Bronson North (born 7 January 1982) is a former professional soccer player from Australia. He mostly played as a defender, either in the centre or on the right side of the field. Jade was an important member of the Australian national team, known as the Socceroos. As of November 2021, he also helps lead a group called the National Indigenous Advisory Group for Football Australia. This group works to support Indigenous people in soccer.

Early Life and Beginnings
Jade Bronson North was born in Taree, Australia. He is from the Biripi Indigenous community. Jade lived in New Zealand until he was 11 years old. Then, he moved back to Australia with his family, settling in Sunnybank, Brisbane. When he was 15, he was offered a special spot at the AIS in Canberra. This is a place where talented young athletes get to train and study.
Playing for Clubs
Jade North started his professional soccer journey with the Brisbane Strikers. He was one of the youngest players ever to join the National Soccer League at that time. Later, he moved to play for Perth Glory.

In 2007, Jade became the captain of the Newcastle Jets for the 2007–08 A-League season. This was a big achievement for him. After his time with the Jets, Jade played for several clubs around the world. He played for Incheon United in South Korea and Tromsø IL in Norway.
In 2010, he returned to the A-League to play for Wellington Phoenix. After that, he moved to Japan, playing for FC Tokyo and then Consadole Sapporo.
In 2013, Jade came back to Australia to play for Brisbane Roar. He stayed with them for five years, leaving in April 2018. Later, in 2019, he joined Murray United. In 2023, on his 41st birthday, Jade North made a special return to his first club, the Brisbane Strikers, for the new season.
Playing for Australia
Jade North first became well-known when he played for Australia's Under-17 team. They reached the final of the 1999 FIFA U-17 World Championship, but lost to Brazil in a penalty shootout. Five years later, he was part of Australia's team that reached the quarter-finals at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece.
In 2008, Jade North made history. He became the first ever Aboriginal player to captain the Socceroos, Australia's senior national team. This happened during a match against Singapore. He also played for Australia at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China.
Community Work
Jade North is not just a soccer player; he also cares about his community. In 2017, he started a special program called "Kickin' With A Cuz." This program is a non-profit, meaning it doesn't aim to make money. Its goal is to connect with young boys and girls through soccer. It helps kids make good choices in life and find pathways to success.
In November 2021, Jade was chosen to co-lead the first-ever National Indigenous Advisory Group for Football Australia. This group works to encourage and support more Indigenous people to get involved in soccer.
