Jade Bronson North (born on January 7, 1982) is a retired Australian professional soccer player. He mostly played as a defender, either in the centre or on the right side of the field. Jade was also a key member of the Australian national team, known as the Socceroos. He also helps lead a special group called the National Indigenous Advisory Group for Football Australia. This group works to support Indigenous people in soccer.

Early Life and Soccer Start
Jade North was born in Taree, Australia. His family has Biripi heritage, which is an Indigenous Australian group. He lived in New Zealand until he was 11 years old. Then, he moved back to Australia and settled in Brisbane with his family.
When he was 15, Jade was offered a spot at the AIS in Canberra. This is a special place where young athletes train to become professionals.
Playing for Clubs
Jade North started his professional soccer journey with the Brisbane Strikers. He was one of the youngest players to join the National Soccer League at that time. Later, he moved to play for Perth Glory.

He became the captain of the Newcastle Jets for the 2007–08 A-League season. This was a big achievement for him. After playing for the Jets, Jade moved to play for Incheon United in South Korea in 2009.
He also played for Tromsø in Norway and Wellington Phoenix in New Zealand. In 2011, he joined FC Tokyo in Japan. Later, in 2012, he played for Consadole Sapporo, another Japanese team.
On January 8, 2013, Jade signed with Brisbane Roar in the A-League. He played there for five years, leaving in April 2018. In 2019, he joined Murray United.
On his 41st birthday, January 7, 2023, Jade North returned to his first club, the Brisbane Strikers. He joined them for the Football Queensland Premier League season.
Playing for Australia
Jade North had a big moment when he played in every game for Australia at the 1999 FIFA U-17 World Championship. His team finished second, losing to Brazil in the final. He also played for Australia at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece.
In 2008, Jade made history by becoming the first ever Aboriginal captain of the Socceroos, Australia's national men's soccer team. This happened during a game against Singapore. He also played for Australia at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China.
Other Important Roles
In 2017, Jade North started a special soccer program called "Kickin' With A Cuz." This program is a non-profit, meaning it doesn't aim to make money. Its goal is to connect with young boys and girls through soccer. It helps kids make good life choices and find paths to success.
In November 2021, Jade was chosen to be a co-chair of the first-ever National Indigenous Advisory Group for Football Australia. This group works to support and increase the number of Indigenous people playing soccer in Australia.
