About Jake Bell
His Early Life and Education
Jake Bell was born in Toledo, Ohio. He grew up in Mesa, Arizona. He went to Arizona State University. There, he earned two degrees. One was in Broadcast Journalism, which is about reporting news. The other was a Master's in Business Administration.
After college, Jake worked as a sports reporter. He also worked as an anchor for TV news stations. He reported on sports in places like Yuma, Arizona, and Panama City Beach, Florida.
Becoming a Writer
Jake Bell started writing for a website called Cracked.com in 2005. This was his first step into professional writing.
His first book for kids was published in 2010. It was called Secret Identity Crisis. This book was the start of The Amazing Adventures of Nate Banks series. Scholastic Books published this popular series.
Writing About Baseball
Since 2022, Jake Bell has been a member of the Society for American Baseball Research. This group studies the history of baseball. Jake writes articles and chapters for their books. He shares his knowledge and love for baseball history with others.
