Jake Cabell is an American football coach and former player. He has a long history in college football, both playing and coaching.
Playing Career
Jake Cabell played American football as a cornerback. He played for the Nebraska Cornhuskers during the 1975 and 1976 seasons. Before joining Nebraska, he played at Ferrum College and North Carolina Central.
Coaching Career
Jake Cabell has spent many years coaching football teams. He has worked with both college and high school teams.
Southwestern College
In 1992, Jake Cabell was the head football coach for the Southwestern College Moundbuilders in Winfield, Kansas. During that season, his team won 5 games and lost 4.
Assistant Coaching Roles
Cabell has been an assistant coach at many different colleges for over 30 years. Some of these schools include Oregon State University, Eastern Washington University, and Tennessee State University. He also coached at North Carolina Central University in 2010. In 2014, he was a defensive coordinator at Whitwell High School.
