Jalen Seegars' High School Basketball
Jalen Seegars played high school basketball at High Point Christian Academy. While there, he was teammates with another talented player, Bam Adebayo. Bam Adebayo later became a star player for the Miami Heat in the NBA.
Jalen Seegars' College Basketball Journey
Jalen continued his basketball career in college. He played for two different universities.
Playing for UNC Asheville (2017–2019)
After high school, Jalen decided to play for UNC Asheville. He officially joined the team on June 1, 2017. In only his second college game, he scored 10 points. He also grabbed 4 rebounds in a big 92–60 win against Lees–McRae.
Transferring to Fayetteville State (2019–2022)
After two years at UNC Asheville, Jalen transferred to Fayetteville State University. He continued his studies and his basketball career there. He quickly made a big impact on the court. He helped the Broncos team start winning many games.
On December 19, 2019, Jalen scored his highest college points in one game. He scored an amazing 39 points in an overtime victory. This exciting game was against the Lincoln Lions.
On February 26, 2022, Jalen scored 15 points in a very important game. His team, Fayetteville State, won the 2022 CIAA Tournament championship. Because of his excellent play, Jalen was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament. This was a huge achievement for him and his team.
