In the 1999–2000 season, he played three games for the Boston Celtics. He also played four games for the Golden State Warriors. In the 2000–01 season, he played five games with the New Jersey Nets. Jamel also signed with other NBA teams like the Cleveland Cavaliers, Portland Trail Blazers, and Utah Jazz. However, he did not play in any official NBA games for those teams.
Playing Around the World
Jamel Thomas also played in other basketball leagues. He spent two seasons in the Continental Basketball Association (CBA). In 2000, he was named the CBA Rookie of the Year. This is a big award for new players.
