Jamil Walker, born on April 21, 1981, in Rochester, New York, is a former American soccer player. He played as a forward and midfielder. He had a professional career in Major League Soccer (MLS) and the USL First Division.

College Soccer Journey
Jamil Walker began his college soccer journey in 1999. He played his first year at the United States Air Force Academy. During that season, he played in ten games for the Falcons. He scored three goals and made one assist.
After his first year, he moved to Santa Clara University. He played three seasons with the Santa Clara Broncos. In his final year at Santa Clara, Jamil scored fourteen goals. His excellent performance earned him several awards. He was named to the NSCAA/adidas All-Far West Team. He also made the All-West Region Team and the All-West Coast Conference First Team.
Professional Career Highlights
In February 2003, Jamil Walker started his professional career. The San Jose Earthquakes picked him in the fourth round of the 2003 MLS SuperDraft. He often came into games as a substitute. However, he started three games during the playoffs, including the championship match. The Earthquakes went on to win the 2003 MLS Cup that year.
In 2004, injuries limited Jamil to playing in only ten games. Later that year, Chivas USA selected him in the 2004 MLS Expansion Draft. Chivas then traded him to D.C. United.
Playing for D.C. United
During the 2005 season, Jamil played for both the main D.C. United team and their reserve team. He was a top scorer in the reserve division, with nine goals. In May 2007, he had a serious injury to his Achilles tendon during a reserve game. D.C. United released him from the team at the end of that season.
Later Professional Teams
In 2008, Jamil signed with the Carolina RailHawks. This team played in the USL First Division. He played his first game with the RailHawks on April 19, 2008. It was a 1–1 tie against the Atlanta Silverbacks.
On July 9, 2008, the RailHawks traded Jamil to the Rochester Rhinos. The Rhinos then immediately traded him and another player, Chase Harrison, to the Portland Timbers.
