Jamkaran Mosque: A Special Place
Jamkaran is found just outside the city of Qom. It is home to the Jamkaran Mosque, which is a very important place for Shia Muslims. People travel from all over the world to visit this mosque.
Shia Muslims believe that a very important figure, Muhammad al-Mahdi, once appeared and prayed here. He is known as the Twelfth Imam. Many Shia Muslims believe he will one day bring peace to the entire world.
