Jan Karwecki was born in a place called Glinno, Poland. He started his football career in the late 1960s. He played for several different clubs in Poland during his time as a professional player.
Playing for Polish Clubs
Karwecki played for a few well-known Polish football clubs. From 1968 to 1973, he was with Górnik Wałbrzych. After that, he moved to Lech Poznań, where he played from 1973 to 1976. He played 60 games for them.
Later, he joined Szombierki Bytom and played 48 games between 1976 and 1978. He also played for Wisła Kraków in 1978–1979, appearing in 14 games. His last club was Cracovia, where he played 25 games from 1979 to 1981. In total, he played 147 club games as a goalkeeper.
