Jane McCarry was born on May 3, 1970. She is a Scottish actress and also a teacher. Many people know her best for playing Isa Drennan in the TV show Still Game. She was also Granny Murray in the children's show Me Too!. Jane studied acting at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh.

Jane's Acting Career
Playing Granny Murray in Me Too!
In 2006, Jane McCarry started appearing in the children's TV programme Me Too!. She played Granny Murray, a kind childminder. The show was a bit like Balamory. Granny Murray helped teach children about what their parents might be doing at work. In each episode, Granny Murray shared a wise idea. This idea often helped solve a problem for one of the parents.
Her Role in Still Game
Jane McCarry is very famous for her role as Isa Drennan in Still Game. This show is a popular Scottish comedy. Isa is known for knowing everything that happens in the neighbourhood. Jane joined the other actors from Still Game in 2014. They performed a live show in Glasgow. The show was a huge success and sold out quickly. Because the stage show was so popular, the BBC brought Still Game back to TV in 2016. Jane played Isa again in the new series.

Jane McCarry grew up in the King's Park area of Glasgow. She was an only child. She has two children named Iain and Alexander. She has said that she got some ideas for her character Isa from watching people in a nearby town.
