Jane Weinzapfel is an American architect and teacher. She is known for co-founding a special architecture company. With Andrea Leers, she started Leers Weinzapfel Associates in Boston. This company was the first one owned by women to win a big award. It received the Architecture Firm Award from the American Institute of Architects in 2007. In 1994, she became a member of the American Institute of Architects College of Fellows. This is a group of very respected architects.

Jane Weinzapfel also taught at universities. She taught at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1974 to 1976. She also taught at the University of Arizona in 1996 and 1999. She was a special guest artist at the American Academy in Rome.

Jane Hanson Weinzapfel was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She grew up in Tucson, Arizona. She earned her architecture degree from the University of Arizona. After college, she worked with Earl Flansburgh in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She also worked with Wallace Floyd Ellenzweig Moore, Inc. There, she helped with projects like the Multiple Mirror Telescope in Arizona. She also worked on the Alewife Multimodal MBTA Station in Cambridge. In 1982, she and Andrea Leers started their own company. They named it Leers Weinzapfel Associates and set it up in Boston, Massachusetts.
