Andrea Leers is an American architect and teacher. She is known for designing many important buildings. With her partner Jane Weinzapfel, Andrea Leers started an architecture company called Leers Weinzapfel Associates. This company was the first one owned by women to win a big award, the Architecture Firm Award, in 2007. In 1991, she became a special member of the American Institute of Architects.
Andrea Leers used to lead the Master in Urban Design Program at Harvard Graduate School of Design. She also taught architecture and urban design there from 2001 to 2011. She has taught at many other famous universities. These include Yale University, the University of Pennsylvania, and the Tokyo Institute of Technology. In 1982, she lived in Japan for a year to study design. She was also a visiting artist in Rome and taught in Paris and Taiwan. In 2018, Andrea Leers was chosen to lead a special committee for the city of Boston.

Andrea Leers was born in Miami, Florida. She grew up in Massachusetts. She studied art history at Wellesley College. Later, she earned a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Pennsylvania. This was when a famous architect named Louis I. Kahn was teaching there.
After finishing her studies, Andrea Leers started her own architecture business in 1970. In 1982, she and Jane Weinzapfel created their company, Leers Weinzapfel Associates, in Boston, Massachusetts.
