Jan Edvard Carlsson (born March 12, 1937 – died August 31, 2017), known to many as Janne 'Loffe' Carlsson, was a famous Swedish actor, musician, composer, and artist. He was known for his fun roles in movies and his amazing drumming skills.

His Early Life
Janne Carlsson was born in Stockholm, Sweden. His father, Erik Carlsson, was a weightlifter, and his mother was Tyra Törnkvist. Janne also had an older brother named Leopold Fare, who was an artist. Janne Carlsson had one daughter.
Becoming an Actor
Janne started acting in 1950 when he was just 13 years old. He became very well-known for his roles in comedies. Two of his most famous movies were Repmånad (1979) and Göta kanal eller Vem drog ur proppen? (1981). These films were very popular in Sweden.
He also played the main character in several movies based on books by the Swedish writer Stig Claesson. Some of these movies include Vem älskar Yngve Frej (1973), På palmblad och rosor (1976), and Henrietta (1983). Janne Carlsson also appeared in many TV shows, like Vem älskar Yngve Frej and Någonstans i Sverige. He even hosted his own shows, Janne Carlsson Show and Låt kameran gå.
A Talented Musician
Besides acting, Janne Carlsson was an amazing drummer. He played on many music albums during the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. He played drums for the Swedish singer Doris on her album Did you give the world some love today Baby.
Janne was also part of a cool Swedish jazz fusion and psychedelic rock duo called Hansson & Karlsson. He was the "Karlsson" in the group! They were active in the late 1960s. Janne even performed with famous musicians like Dexter Gordon, Johnny Griffin, and the legendary Jimi Hendrix.
Later Years
Janne Carlsson continued to act and make music throughout his life. He passed away on August 31, 2017, at the age of 80. He left behind a legacy of laughter and great music.
