Jared Dines' Career
Becoming a YouTube Star
Before becoming a full-time YouTuber, Jared Dines worked as a recording engineer. He started his YouTube channel in 2011 to help promote his band at the time, They Charge Like Warriors.
His channel really took off in 2014 with a video called "10 Styles of Metal." Before this, his videos only got a few hundred views. But "10 Styles of Metal" became super popular, getting millions of views. Local news and music websites even talked about it! After this success, Jared started making more funny skit videos. He also became known for playing metal versions of pop songs. His audience grew even more when he started working with other YouTubers like Rob Scallon.
Jared Dines and Steve Terreberry had a friendly competition. They became known for playing guitars with a crazy number of strings! In 2017, Jared tried to buy a 17-string guitar but was tricked by a fake builder. Luckily, he later received a special 18-string guitar as a gift. He showed it off at a big music event in 2018. Steve Terreberry then showed off a 20-string guitar in 2019! Their fun competition ended with a charity auction for these unique guitars.

Later in 2020, the company Music Man released a special guitar designed by Jared, called his signature Stingray guitar. On December 4, 2020, he released an album with Trivium's Matt Heafy. They called their project Dines X Heafy. The music video for their song "Dear Anxiety" came out on the same day.
In March 2021, Jared teamed up with singer Howard Jones and producer Hiram Hernandez. They started a new music project called Sion. Their first album, also called SION, was released on November 26, 2021. As of 2024, they were working on their second album.
