Jaromír Kohlíček (born 23 February 1953 – died 6 December 2020) was a Czech politician. He spent many years serving his country in different government roles. He was known for his work in both the Czech Parliament and the European Parliament.

Jaromír Kohlíček's Early Life and Education

Jaromír Kohlíček was born in a city called Teplice. This city is located in what is now the Czech Republic. He went to college at the University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague. There he studied chemistry and technology.

Starting a Political Journey

After finishing his studies, Jaromír Kohlíček became interested in politics. He first tried to become a member of the Senate. The Senate is one part of the Czech Parliament. However, he was not successful in that election.

Serving in the Czech Parliament

Even though his first attempt was not successful, Jaromír Kohlíček continued his political career. He became a member of the Lower Chamber of the Czech Republic Parliament. This is another important part of the country's government. He served in this role for several years, from 1998 to 2004.

Representing the Czech Republic in Europe

In 2004, Jaromír Kohlíček took on a new challenge. He was elected as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP). This meant he would represent the Czech Republic in the European Parliament.
