College Star at Villanova
Before becoming a professional, Jason played college basketball at Villanova University. He was a standout player there from 1993 to 1997. In 1994, he was named to the Big East All-Freshman team, showing he was a top new player. By 1997, he earned the title of Big East Defensive Player of the Year, which means he was one of the best at stopping opponents from scoring.
Playing in the NBA
In 1997, Jason was chosen by the Denver Nuggets in the 1997 NBA draft. He was the 41st player picked overall in the second round. He then played for the Orlando Magic during the 1997–98 NBA season.
