Javier de Viana is a small town located in the northern part of Uruguay. It is part of the Artigas Department. The town was named after a famous Uruguayan writer, Javier de Viana.

This town is found on Route 30. It is about 33 kilometers (20.5 miles) west of the city of Artigas. Javier de Viana is also located about 1.5 kilometers (0.9 miles) northeast of a small stream called Arroyo Tres Cruces.
