Jayden Hodges (born October 9, 1993) is an Australian professional rugby league player. He is the captain of the Mackay Cutters team in the Queensland Cup. Jayden mainly plays as a hooker, which is a key position in rugby league.

Growing Up in Cairns
Jayden Hodges was born in Cairns, Queensland, Australia. He is an Indigenous Australian person. Jayden started playing rugby league as a junior for the Cairns Kangaroos club. Later, the North Queensland Cowboys team signed him to play for them.
Family Connections
Jayden Hodges is related to another famous rugby league player. He is the cousin of Justin Hodges, who used to play for the Brisbane Broncos.
Jayden's Rugby League Journey
Starting His Career
Jayden played for the North Queensland Cowboys' NYC team in 2012 and 2013. The NYC is a competition for younger players. In August 2013, he signed a three-year contract with the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles. He was set to join them in 2014.
NRL Debut in 2013
Jayden made his first appearance in the NRL in 2013. This was in Round 25 of the 2013 NRL season. He played for the North Queensland Cowboys against the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks.
Playing for Manly (2014-2015)
In 2014, Jayden played his first game for the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles. This was in Round 17 of the 2014 NRL season against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs. Later that season, he got more chances to play. He even scored his first NRL try in a close semi-final game against Canterbury-Bankstown.
In 2015, Jayden mostly played for Manly's New South Wales Cup team. This is a competition just below the NRL. He played very well and won the Bob Batty Best and Fairest Award for his team. He was also named the Players' Player. He still played in seven NRL games during the 2015 NRL season.
Facing Challenges in 2016
Manly signed new hookers for the 2016 season. This meant Jayden might have to play in the New South Wales Cup again. He was chosen for Manly's 2016 NRL Auckland Nines squad, which is a special tournament. However, he suffered a serious knee injury (a torn anterior cruciate ligament or ACL). This injury meant he could not play for the rest of the season.
Moving to the Queensland Cup (2017-2022)
After his injury, Jayden signed with the Mackay Cutters in 2017. They play in the Queensland Cup competition. He got injured again in his very first game for the Cutters that year. But he came back strong and played 43 more games for the Cutters between 2018 and 2020.
In 2021, Jayden joined the Northern Pride. He was made a joint co-captain of the team. He played 25 games for the Pride over two seasons, scoring four tries.
